National Committee for Quality Assurance $300,716.00 Enhancing Patient-Centered Care in Office Practice While several small-scale studies have shown that patient-centered care interventions can improve clinical outcomes, so far there has been only limited implementation of patient-centered care concepts in physician practices. This project will develop and test measures and tools to define and evaluate the quality of patient-centered care in office practices. These activities will lay the groundwork for integrating these metrics into one or more programs that could identify and reward physicians who provide high-quality, patient-centered care. |
